Guinea fowl, Francolin, Quail and Sand Grouse Shooting

Our game Bird shooting is predominantly done over thick grass lands on the side of water sources or fields of maize. Walked up shooting is the name of the game here most of the time, with a line of guns and locals we sweep areas with high populations of game birds and what fun it is! Flocks of 400 plus guinea fowl and coveys of Orange River and Swainson’s francolin with the odd quail and sand grouse chucked in for good measure, it becomes a wonderful mixed bag day.

As many will know, the first rays of sunshine break the horizon and the bird song breaking the dawn silence is the most magical time to be out amounts nature. This is the time we often walk the outskirts of arable land or scrub ground surrounding our hunting areas looking for Game Birds.
